Aggalayya Gutta Jain Temple
Aggalayya Gutta – a hillock of immense historical and religious significance, located on Padmakshi Temple Road in Hanamakonda, Hanumakonda district, Telangana . It is a major Jain heritage site that also flourished as an Ayurvedic medicine center during the 11th century CE. The hillock is named after Aggalayya , a royal physician, eminent surgeon, and devout Jain patron who served the Chalukya kings. The site boasts colossal Jain sculptures, including a 30‑feet statue of Tirthankar Shantinatha (second tallest Tirthankara in South India) and a 13‑feet statue of Parshvanatha .
