Kondapochamma Sagar is one of the largest and highest reservoirs of the Kaleshwaram Lift Irrigation Project , located in Markook Mandal, Siddipet district, Telangana . Built at an elevation of 618 metres , it is the highest point in the entire Kaleshwaram system. The reservoir has a storage capacity of 15 TMC and a water spread area of 17.03 sq km , making it a critical water source for irrigation and drinking water. Constructed at a cost of ₹1,668.55 crore , the reservoir supplies water through gravity to arid lands across Siddipet, Sangareddy, Medak, Yadadri-Bhuvanagiri, and Medchal-Malkajgiri districts. The J. Chokka Rao Devadula Lift Irrigation Scheme is a multi-stage lift irrigation project on the Godavari River in Telangana, India . It is the second largest lift irrigation scheme in Asia , after the Kaleshwaram project. The project draws water from the Godavari at Gangaram village in Mulugu district and is designed to irrigate drought-prone regions of Telangana.
