ORR - Jawaharlal Nehru Outer Ring Road
Jawaharlal Nehru Outer Ring Road (ORR) is an 8-lane access-controlled expressway encircling the city of Hyderabad, Telangana, India. Spanning 158 kilometers (98 miles) , it is one of the longest urban ring roads in Asia and the largest in India. Developed by the Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA) at a cost of ₹6,696 crore with funding assistance from the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) , the ORR was inaugurated in phases between 2008 and 2016 . It serves as a high-speed bypass, diverting non-destined traffic away from the city and connecting major national highways NH-44, NH-65, NH-163, NH-765, and NH-765D.
