Priyadarshini Jurala Dam (also known as the Jurala Project ) is a multipurpose hydroelectric and irrigation dam located on the Krishna River in Jurala village, Nagarkurnool district, Telangana . It is situated about 30 km from Kollapur , 70 km from Mahbubnagar , and 160 km from Hyderabad . The dam was completed in the late 20th century and named in memory of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi’s daughter-in-law (Priyadarshini Gandhi).
