Karimnagar Deer Park

Karimnagar Deer Park, also known as Rajeev Gandhi Deer Park, is a wildlife park located near the Lower Manair Dam (LMD) on the outskirts of Karimnagar town, Karimnagar District, Telangana. The park was developed by the Forest Department with funds provided under the Environmental Management Plan of the Sri Ram Sagar Project. An area of 30 acres was allotted by the District Collector in 1998, and an amount of ₹148.950 lakh had been spent on development by 31 October 2004. The park was inaugurated on 9 November 2004. It is managed by the Forest Department under the overall supervision of the Karimnagar Deer Park Development Committee and is maintained in accordance with Central Zoo Authority (CZA) requirements. The park is located near Ujwala Park and the Lower Manair Dam and serves as a local wildlife, recreation and environmental-awareness destination.
