Rashtrapati Nilayam (lit. 'The President's House') is the official winter retreat of the President of India, located in Bolarum, Secunderabad , Hyderabad, Telangana. Spanning approximately 97 acres (originally recorded as 90 acres) , this historic estate was constructed in 1860 by Nawab Nazir-ud-Dowla and served as the country house of the British Resident at Secunderabad. After Hyderabad's accession to India in 1948, it became the President's retreat for the southern sojourn. 📍 Errum Manzil (also known as Iram Manzil or Irrum Manzil) is a magnificent heritage palace located atop a hillock in the Irram Manzil Colony, Punjagutta, Hyderabad , Telangana, India. Built around 1870 CE by Nawab Safdar Jung Musheer-ud-daula Fakhrul Mulk , a nobleman of Hyderabad state, this red-hued mansion was the result of a friendly wager between the Nawab and the Paigah nobleman Sir Vicar ul Umra as to who could build a higher palace.
