Somasila is a temple town that has recently been developed as an eco-tourism project is located in Kollapur Mandal Nagarkurnool district, Telangana State India. It is on the banks of the Krishna River and Somasila reservoir has an island-like appearance and attracts pilgrims round the year. It is a perfect place for people who love greenery and water. There are water front cottages to stay at Somasila operated by Telangana Tourism. The place is also a popular religious destination, thanks to 15 temples dedicated to the Hindu deity Shiva.
