    Nannayya Bhatta (c. 11th century CE) – Adi Kavi (First Poet) of Telugu Language . A poet, grammarian, and the first translator of the Sanskrit Mahabharata into Telugu, Nannayya Bhatta (also spelled Nannaya) is revered as the father of Telugu literature . He wrote the Adi Parvam, Sabha Parvam and a part of Aranya Parvam of the Telugu Mahabharatam.
