Siddipet Handloom Cluster, Telangana — A globally recognized textile art form, the Gollabhama saree is distinguished by its enchanting milkmaid (Gollabhama) motifs inspired by Lord Krishna’s lore and the Golla community. Protected by a Geographical Indication (GI) tag , these sarees are woven using a complex tie‑and‑dye (Ikat) technique on pure cotton. Despite international fame, the weaver community has collapsed from 2,000 to just six artisans , earning a mere ₹350 per saree.
